MAGDALENA “MAGGIE” MIRELES CORZO
Director of Programs & Partnerships

As Director of Programs & Partnerships, Magdalena Mireles Corzo leads WJC’s school district and community partnerships and oversees its restorative practices initiatives, supporting educators and students in building safe, inclusive school communities grounded in trust and belonging.

Prior to joining WJC, Magdalena served as the Director of Grantmaking and Capacity at Liberty Hill Foundation, where she designed and led strategic grantmaking initiatives that paired funding with comprehensive capacity-building training and support to strengthen the long-term sustainability of social justice organizations across Los Angeles County. Much of this work focused on investing in the youth development ecosystems, including Ready to Rise, a countywide initiative supporting youth-serving organizations.

Magdalena believes that when young people are equipped with the skills to navigate conflict in healthy and restorative ways, they experience transformational outcomes that last a lifetime.

She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of California, Berkeley, and a certificate in Project Management from California State University, Los Angeles.
