Restorative Schools Program Assistant, Pasadena

Anthony Ayala (he/him) is the Restorative Schools Program Assistant at WJC, where he supports students and staff in cultivating restorative practices to strengthen community and trust within the Pasadena Unified School District.

A proud South Los Angeles native, Anthony began his social justice journey in high school by organizing LGBTQ+ students, igniting his commitment to empower young people in their communities. He holds a B.A. in Chicana/o & Central American Studies, Labor Studies and African American Studies from UCLA.

Anthony’s work is grounded in his belief in alternatives to carceral systems. Whether facilitating circles, mentoring youth or supporting conflict resolution education, he centers restorative approaches in his role. He is eager to contribute to transforming education and communities through his work at WJC.
