  • About Us
Western Justice Center (WJC) serves as an antidote to divisions of the moment by helping schools and communities shift from punishment to problem-solving, from harm to healing, and from conflict to connection. We work at the intersection of education, justice, well-being, civic engagement and advocacy by partnering with students, educators and community groups to address systemic issues like punitive discipline, hate and exclusion. WJC also manages a historic four-building Nonprofit Campus in Pasadena that provides office, meeting and event space for a growing and diverse community.

    About the Position
Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Events & Office Manager (EOM) will be responsible for all aspects of events that take place at The Maxwell House, such as touring, bookings, event coordination and on-site support. The Maxwell House, the centerpiece of WJC’s Nonprofit Campus, is used for events ranging from internal WJC meetings, community and nonprofit gatherings, seminars, and local fundraisers to a limited number of lifecycle events (including baby showers, memorials, and weddings). The EOM is the primary contact for vendors, visitors and those who rent or use the space – ensuring exceptional service and seamless event execution.

    Compensation and Benefits
This is a full-time position with an annual salary range of $70,500 - $75,500. WJC offers a comprehensive benefits package, including paid vacation, holidays and sick time, and medical, dental, vision and life insurance with employee buy-up options for dependents. WJC is a CalSavers participating organization. We offer 10 paid holidays, 2 floater holidays for religious and cultural observances, and a Wellness Week (Christmas thru New Year’s).

    How to Apply:
Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis with interviews starting as early as February 2, 2026. To apply, please send an email to careers@westernjustice.org with a single document that includes your cover letter and resume.
