March 3, 10, 17 and 24 8:30-5:30
Thanks to the generous support of the JAMS Foundation, Western Justice Center will be holding its Train-the-Trainer Conflict Resolution Education Course for middle and high school educators next month. This particular offering of the training is restricted to Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) educators, including teachers, counselors, and administrators. Training dates and times for this 30-hour training are as follows: March 3, 10, 17 and 24, 2012 from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM on each day at Loyola Law School. A 2-hour debrief and discussion will be scheduled sometime after the last date of the training to allow time for participants to begin implementing the program. Interested educators can complete an online application by clicking on this link: http://tinyurl.com/T3LAUSD.
We are especially interested in having colleagues from the same LAUSD school apply to this course, so that they will be better able to implement programs and support one another on their respective campuses. The ideal situation would consist of a team of 3-5 representatives attending from the same school.
Participants who complete the course will receive a $400 stipend. They will also be eligible to receive one Continuing Education Credit, and may be able to receive a Salary Point (pending approval of our proposal).
