Western Justice Center Foundation Honors Andy Heyward Chairman & CEO of DIC
Entertainment at the Third Annual Visions for Youth Award reception; Singer and Songwriter,
Sarah Buxton, is Musical Guest .

On October 5, 2006, Western Justice Center Foundation honored Andy Heyward, Chairman
and CEO of DIC Entertainment at its Third Annual Visions for Youth Award reception at the
home of Diane and David Paul, of Los Angeles. 

DIC entertainment is an international leader in the field of children's entertainment having
produced shows such as Inspector Gadget, Madeline, Sabrina the Animated Series, Sonic
the Hedgehog, Care Bears and Super Mario Brothers, among others. Mr. Heyward's
expansive vision promoting pro-social educational and entertaining children's programming
teaches them important skills like problem-solving, raising self-esteem and improving
relationships.

Western Justice Center Foundation is proud to partner with DIC Entertainment on a television
episode that will air this spring highlighting the importance of using conflict resolution skills
to reduce the impact of gossip - especially important in light of the recent rise in violence
among adolescent girls.

Lyric Street Records' singer and songwriter, Sarah Buxton gave an energizing performance in
support of the evening's festivities, including songs from her soon to be released CD. Music
industry leaders from The Walt Disney Studios, including Bob Cavallo, Chairman, Buena
Vista Music Group, a former honoree of this award, and Randy Goodman of Lyric Street
Records attended, as well as the esteemed judges and lawyers who are members of the
Western Justice Center Foundation Board of Directors and philanthropic friends.

Western Justice Center Foundation Board Chair, the Hon. Dorothy W. Nelson, Senior Circuit
Judge for the United States Court of Appeals for the 9 th District said "Annually, we honor a
distinguished member of the entertainment industry in the hope that the industry will
increasingly recognize the importance of the peaceful resolution of conflict." Mr. Heyward
stated that he "continues to be impressed with the work of the Western Justice Center
Foundation. They make a difference and I am honored to be recognized by them."

For the Western Justice Center Foundation, the development of a peaceful society is a
goal translated into three priority programs that teach children the skills of peaceful conflict
resolution, help communities resolve disputes without violence, and assist our nation's
courts and administrative agencies improve access to justice.
