Honoring

Alan Buckelew

Alan Buckelew is the Chief Executive Officer and President of Princess Cruises and the President of the Princess Cruises Community Foundation (PCCF). Alan has built his distinguished career on unequivocal core values and a commitment to serve others and his community. Through his leadership the PCCF supports many worldwide organizations including WJC initiatives, such as the  Art for Peace Toolkit for elementary school students. With toolkits in hand, educators guide students  through art exercises, while teaching basic concepts related to conflict resolution and peer mediation. The toolkit's success initiated the launch of a new WJC program area focused on conflict resolution education and the arts.

Steve English, Molly Munger, and Connie Rice are the Co-Founders and Co-Directors of Advancement Project, founded in 1999 to even the odds for communities striving to attain equal footing and equal treatment. Each of these honorees is dedicated to engineering large-scale systems change to remedy inequality, expand opportunity and open paths to upward mobility. Consistent with WJC’s commitment to the education and development of children to build strong communities, these honorees support the development of educational opportunities for children in the Los Angeles area

Lim, Ruger & Kim LLP

Lim, Ruger & Kim LLP is a leading minority-owned firm that believes giving back to the community to promote equal opportunity and access to justice is just as important as doing outstanding legal work. Since its inception, Lim Ruger has encouraged its lawyers to be active in public service and community involvement. This is exemplified by the devotion of its lawyers to numerous civic and non-profit boards, including WJC, and pro bono services as well as contributions to scholarships for minority law students.
