Making a Gift
For more information on
Making a Gift to the Western Justice Center, please contact the
Director of Development.
Western Justice Center Foundation receives 75% of its support from private individuals, corporations and foundations. An additional 25% of its operating fund is received as rental income from the 16 nonprofit tenant organizations that lease space at the campus-like complex comprising the Western Justice Center.
Making a Gift to the Western Justice Center will have a positive impact on the lives of thousands of children
and families we reach each year through community engagement, conflict preventiand conflict resolution education programs.
Your gift may qualify as an income tax deduction. Please consult with your attorney,
financial
planner or tax advisor regarding potential tax advantages and other aspects of
charitable giving.
Outright gifts of cash, securities or other property have an immediate
impact on the programs
and services we provide. Gift pledges allow a donor to make a
gift over a period of time. Many
corporations have Matching Gift programs where they
will match or multiply a gift up to a certain
amount. Gifts of Marketable Securities
provide donors with a charitable deductionfor the fair
market value of the security and
when appreciated, a capital gains tax savings. A gift of Real
Estate allows a donor to
receive an income tax deduction based on the full market value of
the gift, secure capital
gains tax savings, and avoid certain costs associated with the transfer
of real estate.
Building an Endowment is critical to Western Justice Center 's longevity and its ability
to continue
to provide the programs that will secure the futures of the children and
families both locally and
nationally. You can help us build the endowment and
participate in a lasting community legacy.
Lastly, Planned Gifts can be made by leaving a gift to Western Justice Center
Foundation in a will
or can be a charitable gift arrangement with tax and income benefits.
Any gift can be designated to Western Justice Center 's Peace Builders Fund, the goal of
which is
to continue our mission to respond to emerging needs to develop, implement and
strengthen programs that deliver innovative conflict resolution systems, maintain
facilities at the Western
Justice Center campus, purchase furniture and equipment and
provide for continued services to
our communities.
