WJC Distinguished Speaker Series

The Distinguished Speaker Series is designed to bring leaders in law, policy, business, and community-based organizations to Western Justice Center to share with the public their work in their respective fields and particularly how conflict resolution practices are used in their work to address such challenges.

Previous Distinguished Speaker Series include:

Erwin Chemerinsky on Constitutional Law and the Supreme Court with the appoinment of Elena Kagan, August 2010.
Hon. Carlos R. Moreno (Ret.) on the origins and evolution of legal cases on marriage in California, August 2011.
Chief Phillip Sanchez, Sheriff Lee Baca and Chief Executive Fraser Sampson on challenges as well as solutions in preventing and resolving conflict in community-police interactions, November 2011.
